At Harvest House we welcome walkers throughout the summer months, providing comfortable rooms and great facilities to meet their needs. We are proud to be the most highly regarded bed and breakfast Lymington visitors can choose to stay at.

The summer is the perfect time to go walking in the New Forest and the surrounding area. There will be plenty of fantastic colours on show with the trees and flowers in full bloom. Good weather brings people in their droves, whether they want to take long or short walks. In addition there is the chance to see all kinds of wildlife.

The greatest thing about walking in the area is the sheer number of different routes to choose from. There are too many to list, ranging from short, easy family walks to longer, challenging routes that cover many miles. You can decide what you want to see during your walk, choosing paths that will give you a chance to see wildlife or even opt for those that will take you through towns and villages.

The New Forest National Park website is a great resource for walking. It will show you routes, tell you about the distance and difficulty, and describe what you will see during the journey. In addition it also provides an estimate of the time you could expect the walk to take so you can plan accordingly.

The website also offers a number of useful tips including advice for people who are taking their dogs with them and what to expect in terms of wildlife. It is wise to do some research before your visit so you don’t encounter any issues.

Harvest House is well located for walkers. There are some fantastic walks nearby, including a popular food trail in Milford, Keyhaven Marshes, Walhampton Monument Trail in Lymington itself, and several others inside the New Forest.
