Bring out your cultural and charitable side

Regarded as one of the finest options for a bed and breakfast in Lymington, Harvest House has everything one needs to enjoy their time here. With all the benefits of a hotel but with the added bonuses of a personal service and lower costs, a ours is undoubtedly the best accommodation option available. With a selection of luxury rooms and countryside views like no other, you’ll be glad that you chose to stop here with us.

If you are looking to do something in the summer and are a cultured sort of person, then the Be a Mid Summer Drummer event in June might be just up your alley. Here, you can join the vibrant Ghanaian Kwamae Bakoji-Hume as he leads you through an evening’s introduction to drumming. This workshop is due to be held outside the Minstead Study Centre and everyone is welcome, regardless of their ability level. Drums shall be issued but you can bring your own if you’d like.

Drumming acts as a unifying force that connects us via rhythms and putting us more in touch with ourselves. Within Ghana, not only is drumming used in traditional ceremonies, but it also finds its fair share of use in everyday life, helping people heal, invigorate and celebrate. The event runs during the middle of June and we advise that you bring a cushion along to keep yourself comfy.

For something a little more engaging and charitable, the New Forest bike ride will be doing its part to raise money for Coppafeel, the breast cancer charity. People of all ages and abilities have a choice between four routes that all begin and end in Brockhurst. The hills and roads will be rather gentle here, making this the perfect family outing.

At Harvest House in addition to providing our guests with a comfortable and relaxing room to sleep in, we monitor all the latest happenings in the area. There’s a lot to do in Lymington and the neighbouring areas, so you won’t become bored anytime soon. If there’s anything we can assist you with, feel free to get in touch.
