A place to stay for the New Forest Walking Festival

With autumn very firmly in the air, we are looking forward to the 2015 edition of the New Forest Walking Festival. This event stretches over two weeks, starting from 17 October, giving passionate walkers and ramblers from throughout the country the chance to come and enjoy the beauty of the area before winter sets in. If you’re looking for a bed and breakfast in the New Forest where you can stay while you enjoy this fantastic festival, you’ll find that Harvest House is the perfect choice.

The Walking Festival embraces all the styles and characteristics of walking that the New Forest has become so celebrated for over the years. The routes selected this year have been planned with a wide range of distances in mind, so all walkers can take part, from the experienced to total beginners. As for the nature of the routes and what you can experience, there’s two broad categories – Wildlife Walks and History Hikes. With the New Forest being so very rich in both natural wonders and history, both options are superb experiences. Whichever walk you select, you are certain to have a fantastic time. Whether you are planning on using the walk as a platform for your photography skills or you just want to take in the beautiful surroundings, we have no doubt that you will have an unforgettable experience.

Our beautiful bed and breakfast in the New Forest is based in Lymington, giving you the comfort of luxurious accommodation to complement the unique sights and experience of the festival. As you may be aware there are a number of incentives for people to attend the festival via bicycle or public transport. Although a large part of the appeal of Harvest House is the tranquil, remote setting, we are closely connected enough to allow for either form of transport.

The New Forest Walking Festival coincides with the end of our regular opening season. Although we take bookings for special occasions throughout the whole year, we are always delighted to welcome those participating in the walking activities as we bid a fond farewell to yet another memorable year.
