Hampshire is a stunning county situated on the southern coast of England. It is host to a number of aesthetically pleasing country side and is famously home to writers such as Jane Austen and Charles Dickens. For people interested in nature, flora and fauna it is the perfect place to visit. If you’re searching for a great place to stay when you are visiting Hampshire, there’s only one name that you should think of; Harvest House.
At Harvest House we operate a luxury bed and breakfast in New Forest with stunning, uninterrupted views alongside a cavalcade of other convenient facilities. Originally our beautiful building was designed by William Ravenscroft, an extremely well known local architect in the Edwardian period. There are a number of Ravenscroft properties in the local area however only three of them, including here at Harvest House, have a full first floor. Most of the designs are more of a dormer style that includes skilling ceilings.
From this, you can see that our property is very special and boasts a number of historical qualities you won’t find anywhere else, especially at chain hotels. Instead, we offer a friendly, personal and unique experience which every customer that we have finds out for themselves. A lot of historical factors can still be seen in our home too, for instance the back door has remained a stable door since its erection.
There are also many things to do when you spend a few days here – the New Forest is incredibly diverse with a whole host of activities to enjoy. Whether you’re interested in taking an energetic bike ride through the woodland, hiking through the heath, exploring the history in our local area, riding a horse and even water sports you can be confident that they’ll never be a boring moment.
If a relaxing time is what you’re seeking, there a lot of local amenities such as restaurants, public houses, relaxing walks, bird watching locations, cruises, bowling screen, sailing opportunities and more.
We have a few bedrooms on offer; Keyhaven, Hurst, and The Attic Suite where you can lay in bed and watch the stars, all of which are en-suite with facilities available.
